Veterans of South Pinellas County and Building Homes for Heroes Add Finishing Touches to Heroes’ Home in St Petersburg, FL
Many American Flags line 62nd Ave S in St. Petersburg, Florida in anticipation of a heroes’ welcome.
The Veterans of South Pinellas County and Building Homes for Heroes are finishing up the elegant touches on the mortgage-free home with beautiful flowers, a new lawn, and even a white picket fence that overlooks a pond with aerated water fountain.
The honoree who will be receiving keys to the home is SSG Charles Claybaker, (US Army Ret.), who was severely injured when the CV-22 Osprey Aircraft he was flying in crashed returning from a mission in Afghanistan.
The Key Presentation to the Claybaker family will take place at approximately 10:30 in the morning on November 23, 2013 following a motorcade procession that will include the Claybaker family, local dignitaries, and many representatives of the Veterans of South Pinellas County, who will travel from Pass-a-Grille aboard a vintage fire truck. Be sure to join us for this heroes’ welcome home. Without our heroes we would not have the free country that we live in today.
